First, so much history lives in this space. If you don't know, look it up. Food is superb, fresh, and thoughtfully curated. Hosts and staff are accommodating, helpful, and kind. We are lucky to have them in the vibrant, sweet town of Pendleton.
Located in the heart of Pendleton's historic town square, this impressive restaurant occupies a stunning antebellum mansion, boasting huge white columns and a rich heritage dating back to 1826. With only 10-12 tables inside and a charming outdoor seating area, the intimate setting is perfectly complemented by exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail, courtesy of owners Andrew and Justin. The culinary experience is truly top of the line, with innovative, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented dishes that rival the finest restaurants in the area, including those in Greenville or Atlanta. The menu is constantly evolving, showcasing an impressive array of locally sourced ingredients. A very nice wine list and craft cocktail options, including a curated selection of beers, cater to diverse tastes. My wife and I enjoy a good bottle of wine and have always been pleased with the options here. Throughout my numerous visits, whether for special occasions or simply a delightful evening out, I have consistently been impressed with the menu, impeccable service, and enchanting Antebellum ambiance. This restaurant is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined dining experience. It's a gem... One of my favorite spots.
We go to 1826 Bistro whenever we are in South Carolina. The food is delicious, we love the chef's creativity and the menu changes frequently. Our server, Tom, was friendly and helpful. We were lucky to go on a nice night and were able to sit on the outside patio. The patio has a nice ambiance (i.e. no noisy traffic or busy foot traffic nearby). If we didn't live so far away, we would come here often. We definitely recommend 1826!
Great historical building to have your dinner at, great service, parking can be a pickle at times, have outdoor seating too.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, top-notch food. We celebrated birthday there and they made it special. Love that they are farm to table and use quality ingredients. The menu is creative and changes weekly or daily. Can't wait to go back.
